Namasté, Eaglebrooke!

Did you know that we offer three Restorative Yoga classes every week? On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays these beginner level classes last 1 hour and 15 minutes each with our instructor Francesca Grey, who is an incredible teacher!

Francesca lives and breathes yoga. She says, “Yoga is a beautiful blessing that came into my life and I would like to share that blessing with every student that is open to receiving this wonderful gift. I hope you’ll takes the time to roll out your mat with me in class!”

Our class size maxes out at 15 participants, which allows for Francesca to walk the room to adjust everyone’s poses. She may tweak the angle of your foot, remind you to broaden through your chest or even push you deeper in the stretch. She is devoted to ensuring that each guest gets the most out of their practice!

As someone who has practiced yoga at many other studios, I’ve found that with larger class sizes (sometimes with 25-35 guests) I can get lost in the crowd. A larger class size is not ideal for a beginner who needs additional instruction. I have learned so much from attending these classes with Francesca over the past few months!

An important factor to note, is that our class centers around RESTORATIVE yoga versus another popular style, called VINYASA yoga. Vinyasa Yoga entails more movement—some might refer to it as more of a “workout” style of yoga. Restorative Yoga is paced more slowly, focused on deep breathing and long pauses in each pose. This style of yoga elicits a relaxation response in the body to help to still an anxious mind. It can even be a fantastic addition to treating many chronic health conditions, like improving chronic back pain, lowering blood pressure, heightening balance and even increasing thyroid function.

Classes are complimentary for Club Members (including seasonal members) and are $12.00 per class for non-members. Classes can be purchased in our online store and your reservation can be placed by emailing fitness@eaglebrooke.com.
